When we started working with glassybaby five years ago, founder Lee Rhodes knew that she wanted to give back in a big and meaningful way. At that time, glassybaby was just starting to refine their giving philosophy. Lee has one of the biggest hearts of
anyone we know – and we were busy trying to convince the world of that. For glassybaby, giving back was not about “cause marketing” but because of Lee’s first-hand experiences during her
cancer treatments. Fast forward to 2012, and glassybaby has donated over ONE MILLION DOLLARS to various charities, most cancer related. And they're not planning to stop now.
Cheers to you Lee, for not only believing it could happen, but to
making it happen. Here’s to One Million More!
We will not claim to be the most “techy” individuals in this techy town of ours,
but we are just like the hundred of millions of people who spend A LOT of time on their smart phones. We’re doing business, we’re looking for nearby companies, and we’re giving feedback about our experiences as consumers.
So, when we met our client Venuelabs, a light bulb went off. All of this information is floating around out there, some easily accessible, some more difficult to uncover. We knew that many of our clients are missing some very critical feedback about their stores – and the chance to connect with those giving the feedback.
Venuelabs aggregates all this chatter that is taking place 24/7 on mobile devices, and provides customers a way to review it, respond to it, and easily monitor it. Restaurants, hotels, big brand retailers –and anyone else that have multiple locations now has an EASY way to monitor the conversation surrounding their brand.
Yep, we think these guys are really techy, and really smart.
September is going to be another exciting month for MOD Pizza! Two new stores opened today - one in Redmond, located in the Bella Bottego shopping center and the other in Sammamish, in the Sammamish Highlands Shopping Center. Thanks to Mayor Odell for coming out to help us open the Sammamish store.
We’re not sure who is more excited about our new client Strideline – the two of us – or our boys.
If you spend any time around the 10-20 year old set, you’ve probably seen these
socks in a variety of colors, and - soon to be - new cities.
Started by two local college students in 2009, while they were still in high school, the company is growing by leaps and bounds with a lot of really exciting things on
the horizon. As the founders work toward their degrees at the University of Washington, they are fulfilling their dream of starting and running a business
together – and doing it very successfully. In the next couple of months,
they will be launching into six new markets – New York, Chicago, Portland, Los
Angeles, St. Louis and San Francisco.
Every time we’re out on the streets of Seattle, we see more and more people sporting these stylish, functional socks.
We are super excited about our new client Live Love Flow and Yogi and founder Jaime Scates Schmitz who also owns the popular Mountain Flow Yoga in Madrona. She has opened Seattle's first indoor yoga cycle/yoga fusion studio near Seattle University on Capitol Hill and she is a rock star (yes she is a rock climber too!). Did you see them on KING 5 last weekend? After the tradgies of the last few weeks, in particular the senseless shooting in Madrona, Jaime and other yogis in the area banned together to raise money for the victims favorite charity. It was an amazing day headlined by Don O'Neill of the Ron and Don Show on KIRO Radio. It was big news to have the community come together in peace to offset the violence we are experiencing here in Seattle. Namaste!
Just in...MOD Pizza will be one of the headliner restaurants at the newly remodeled Seattle Center Armory. (along with Skillet and Pie and others) MOD couldn't be more excited to share in the 50 year celebration of the Seattle's World Fair and be in the heart of Seattle for all to enjoy. The whole retro vibe is palatable there and we think our pizza's will be just the ticket for weary Center visitors and tourists. It is an exciting time for MOD and Limelight is thrilled to be a part of it! Come Visit. Opening Day is June 15th!
It is with great pleasure that I announce we have a new face at Limelight Partners - Kim Cleworth. Kim, Charlotte and I have known each other for more than 30 years (boy, that dates us) and we have been yearning to work together since we met in college. The time has come, and we couldn't be more thrilled to bring Kim into the fold. She brings with her such an amazing background in marketing, TV production and corporate communications. She will be a great asset to our clients and to us as she is always so fun to work with. Check out her bio under About Us. Welcome Kim!
As the days get shorter (I find myself thinking of dinner at 4pm!) and the air a lot colder, it is once again the season to give thanks. Times have certainly changed since we started Limelight Partners. The crash of 2008 happened right as we opened our doors but I'm thankful our clients recognized our talents, our contributions and have continued to help us build our business here in Seattle. I'm also thankful for Charlotte, a great friend and a great business partner. "You complete me Char", I like to say. We make a great team. As for the economy, Who isn't thankful they have a job? How many of us have friends and family out of work? It never ceases to amaze me how in Seattle we breed entreprenuers, people willing to take risks even when everyone tells them they are crazy...MOD Pizza, glassybaby, Blue Sky Cleaners - innovators all pushing forward - local companies making a difference, friends giving thanks for their clients just as we give thanks to ours.
It is official, MOD Pizza Alderwood is open! The space, like all the MODs, is a little different, just enough to keep your eyes occupied while you indulge in your latest MOD pizza creation. My favorite now? The Ava Jane...mouthwatering....it's not on the menu - it's our little secret. Ask for it next time.
